Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian who traveled to Switzerland to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos, met and discussed with his Norwegian counterpart Espen Barth Eide on Tuesday.
Amir-Abdullahian said that "if the root cause of the Gaza crisis is well understood, the solution to the crisis is very simple."
Stating that Iran does not welcome war and insecurity in the region, he added, "The war against Gaza must end as soon as possible so that the region can reach peace."
Amir Abdollahian pointed out, "The rootcause of the crisis is not in the Red Sea and Lebanon and other areas in the region, but it has roots in the genocide in Gaza, and if that volcano is extinguished, peace will be established in other regions of the region."
The foreign minister of Norway, for his part, said that "Unfortunately the situation in Gaza, Lebanon and the Red Sea is worsening and we are ready to try to handle and calm the situation."
Thanking Iran for its efforts to help create peace in the region, Eide said, "The problems in the region are interrelated, and we also think that the conflict in Gaza should end immediately and a ceasefire should be established."
